Community guidelines
Klubbit is where clubs come together: to plan sessions, chat, share photos and celebrate each other. These guidelines keep it a good place to be. They apply to everything you post and do on Klubbit, in clubs and in private messages. Breaking them can lead to content being removed or an account being suspended, as set out in our Terms of use.
Be kind and respectful
- Treat people the way you would at the club in person. Disagree with ideas, not people.
- No bullying, harassment, threats, intimidation or repeated unwanted contact, including in private messages.
- No hate. Don't attack or demean anyone because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other part of who they are.
- Welcome newcomers. Everyone was new to the club once.
Keep it appropriate
- No sexual or sexually suggestive content, and no nudity.
- No graphic violence, gore, or content that encourages self-harm or dangerous behaviour.
- Nothing illegal, and nothing promoting illegal activity, such as selling banned or stolen goods.
- Keep content relevant to the club. Use the right channel, and keep off-topic chatter where the club is happy for it to be.
Respect privacy and consent
- Don't share anyone's personal information, such as their address, phone number or private messages, without their permission.
- Ask before posting photos of people, and take a photo down if someone asks you to.
- Klubbit is for adults (18+). Don't post photos or details of children.
- Use members' contact details only for club business. Don't add people to marketing lists or contact them for unrelated reasons.
Be honest
- Use your real identity. Don't impersonate another person, club or organisation.
- No spam, scams, chain messages or misleading links.
- No advertising or selling unless your club's organisers allow it.
- Organisers: describe your club, events and charges accurately, and only charge members what they've agreed to pay.
For organisers
- You set your club's rules on top of these guidelines, but your rules can't allow anything these guidelines or our Terms of use forbid.
- Look at reports in your club promptly and fairly. You can keep or remove reported messages and photos.
- Treat members' information with care and use it only to run the club.
- Club names, logos, mottos and descriptions are shown publicly on Explore, so keep them appropriate.
If something's wrong
- Report it. Use the Report option on a message (press and hold it), a photo, a person or a club, and choose a reason. Club admins don't see who reported something.
- Block people you don't want to hear from. Their messages are collapsed for you in club chats.
- When several different members report the same message or photo in a club, it's hidden until someone reviews it.
- Klubbit's moderators can review any report, including reports about a whole club, and can act on it directly.
- If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services on 999 first.
What happens when guidelines are broken
Depending on how serious it is, organisers or Klubbit may:
- remove the message or photo, and let the person who posted it know;
- remove someone from a club (organisers);
- reset a club's logo or information, or hide a club from Explore (Klubbit); or
- suspend an account, so it can no longer be used (Klubbit).
We'll be fair, and where it's safe we'll tell people what we've done. If you think we've got something wrong, email support@klubbit.co.uk and we'll look again.
